Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 October 2026
In short
1. Who you are contracting with
Inbox Rinser (the "Software") is provided by Fidus, an independent business based in Israel ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using the Software, or by buying a license, you agree to these terms and you are contracting with Fidus. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
2. What the Software does
Inbox Rinser is a Windows program that connects to your POP3 or IMAP mailbox, shows the messages waiting on the server, marks suspected spam, scams and dangerous attachments, and deletes the messages you choose. It marks messages automatically and deletes only when you ask it to (or, if you turn on that option, when it automatically deletes spam from your blacklist). Automatic marking can be wrong, so please review messages before deleting them.
3. Free trial
New installations include a free trial of 30 days. No payment details are needed. When the trial ends, the Check Mail and Rinse Mail functions stop working until you enter a valid license key. Your settings, lists and Recycle Bin stay available.
4. License
When you buy a license we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software on up to 3 computers that you own or control, for the period you have paid for. You may not copy, sell, rent or share your license key, reverse engineer the Software, or remove its license checks. To activate a license, the Software sends your e-mail address, license key and a computer identifier to our license server, and checks again every few days. Without an internet connection the license keeps working for up to 30 days.
The license period starts on the day you buy the license key, not on the day you enter it in the Software. When the license period ends and is not renewed, the Software works as after the trial: Check Mail and Rinse Mail stop working, and your settings, lists and Recycle Bin stay on your computer.
5. Payment, subscription and taxes
Our orders are processed by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, billing, taxes, invoicing and refunds, and Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to your purchase. The price, billing period and applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you pay.
The license is an annual subscription. It renews automatically for another year at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through the link in your receipt e-mail or at paddle.net, and the license then stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.
If the price changes, the new price applies only from your next renewal. Discounts and special offers apply only to the purchase they were offered with; we do not refund the difference if the price is lower later.
6. Your data
The Software connects directly from your computer to your mail server. We do not receive your e-mail messages or your mailbox passwords. Your settings, lists and Recycle Bin are stored on your computer, and you can move them with the export function. If your license ends, or you stop using the Software, your data stays on your computer and you can delete it by uninstalling the Software. What we store about you is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
Use the Software only with mailboxes you own or are allowed to access, and only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for the messages you choose to delete. Deleting a message from the server cannot always be undone, and the Recycle Bin copy depends on your settings. A copy of a message marked as a dangerous attachment or a scam is never kept, because it could be dangerous.
8. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise that it will be error-free, that it will find every unwanted message, or that it will never mark a good message by mistake. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law as a consumer.
9. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost messages, lost data or indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Ending the license
You can stop using the Software at any time. We may cancel a license, and the activation on your computers, if these terms are broken, if the license key is shared or misused, or if a payment is reversed. A license that is refunded or cancelled stops working on the next license check.
11. Changes to the Software and to these terms
We may update the Software and these terms. If we make a significant change to these terms, we will publish the new version on this page with a new date. Using the Software after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your own country.
